Shaggy Ladder Yarn

Each ball is enough for a scarf and include a pattern on the ball band.

Creates a shaggy effect scarf from each ball

You knit into the ladder part of the yarn to create the effect

Stylecraft Poodle
100g ball - £6.75 - 7 colours
 

5cm wide loopy yarn including the ladder. The ladder at the top is 0.8cm wide, each block is 0.8cm long with 3cm between each block.

The colour of the loops vary but the ladder is black all the way along. However you do not see the ladder on the final scarf.

Ruffle Yarns

There are a great deal of ruffle style yarns on the market but they all differ in the final effect they give. Each ball is enough for a scarf and include a pattern on the ball band. The following are the yarns we currently supply.

Ribbon Ruffle Yarn

Creates a ruffle effect scarf from each ball

You knit into the ladder part of the yarn to create the effect

Sirdar Taffeta
100g ball - £7.39 - 6 colours

3.5cm wide 'ribbon' yarn including the ladder and fringe. The ladder at the top is 0.5cm wide, each block is 0.5cm long with 1.5cm between each block. The fringe is 1cm and is black on all shades.

The 'ribbon' is not solid, it is made up of Polyester threads, some of which are metallic (difficult to show in pictures). The colour of the 'ribbon' varies at a different rate to the ladder.

 
James C.Brett Star Lites
150g ball - £9.50 - 5 colours (black/white shown below has been discontinued)

2.5cm wide 'ribbon' yarn including the ladder. The ladder at the top is 0.5cm wide, each block is 0.6cm long with 1.6cm between each block.

The 'ribbon' is not solid, it is made up of Acrylic and Polyester threads. The colour of the 'ribbon' varies at a different rate to the ladder. This yarn has a sparkle to it which is difficult to show in pictures

Sirdar Spellbound
100g ball - £9.50 - 4 colours

Spellbound is a softly brushed lace scarf yarn with a magical twist - it comes in 4 totally desirable shades with a dusting of glitter designed to catch the light majestically.

Spellbound can be knitted into a gorgeous twirly scarf or a stylish straight shape. When you knit together the edge of the lace, layer upon layer of beautifully iridescent waves begin to appear.

Mesh Yarns

You knit into the edge of the yarn create the frilly effect.

Furry Yarns

There are lots of furry yarns available such as Sirdar Funky Fur and Stylecraft Eskimo which can knit as a Double Knit. The following group of yarns do not have a tension as such and were produced initially for making scarves. However we have heard from lots of you that they are brilliant for other items too.

James C.Brett Faux Fur

100g ball - £4.60 - 6 colours
Scarf Pattern on Ball Band uses 1 ball

James C.Brett Faux Fur comes in 6 mixed animal shades.

It is made of 90% Supersoft Nylon so is very very soft.

Sirdar Funky Fox
50g ball - £2.70 - 6 trendy colours & 2 animal colours
3 balls should make a scarf. Pattern Leaflets for other items are also available.

Sirdar Funky Fox comes in 6 hot shades, each with a black inner beard.

Funky Fox scarves or accessories would make perfect presents for children and teenagers, or anyone who likes to stand out from the crowd.

Shaggy scarf is a shaggy-textured, two-colour yarn that knits up quickly on 20mm needles.

The ball band has a free pattern to knit either one bigger ladies scarf or two smaller girl's size scarves.

Shaggy scarves make perfect presents for chilly autumn days and are great first knits for beginners
